Pokémon is a pretty good series, said everyone on this forum. But there are always the bad parts of it. Man, lots of things sure come to mind...
Anyway, any game mechanics you dislike?
For me, I really hate the poffin-making minigame. I swear, my hand might detach itself because of poffin-making... I might just use AR codes instead to get mild poffins rather than spending time breaking my hand.

My poffins taste like leaded petrol and assorted engine parts.
A game mechanic i hate is HEADSHOTS. They widen the gap between pro and newbie even further, And turn any first person shooter into "aim for the head to win"
Another one i hate is RESPAWN TIMERS. Sure, They might have a place in "Capture the base" style games. But in anything other than that, It's unnecessary! I don't like having to wait 10 seconds to keep playing. It's really frustrating how i have to STOP having fun for something which feels like forever.

Oh. In that case.
I don't like how i have to get into a really boring battle every time i walk 2 steps in the long grass. It makes the game really annoying. I'm not sure about you guys, But i think that a one-hit battle where you have to spend 5 minutes watching these overly long battle animations is the most boring thing ever.

Game mechanics I hate:
Get the parcel back to Prof. Lazy Oak in order to get past the drunk old man. DAMMIT.
Walk two steps towards the end of the Victory Road and your rival appears to battle you with your Pokemon that is very close to fainting. Gg Rival..
Forced trainer battles. Can't anyone just run or heal first?! D:

Another game mechanic i hate is MEGAS. They're almost exactly the same as legendaries, Except that they're butt ugly.
Mega mewtwo Y looks like he has a toilet seat on his head, And mega rayquaza looks like he crashed through a chinese festival.

Not being able to walk around with them when you see other people with their Pokemon walking around with them.
