So I took a picture of a Vanguard Tank(Planetside 2) Then I tried copying the general shape and a few of the simpler details on my computer. About halfway through I realized this is what I'd created(the tracks weren't worked on yet, I'm actually okay at tracks by comparison). This is why I need help. Also, it took me half and hour to make this second half-complete one.

Nobody cares about my self esteem...and I'm pretty used to it anyways, so back to filming.

Practices make perfect. 1 of my suggestion is try a new art style if you dislike your current one. This is my artstyle: I use different shades of a color and mix it together to make it seems like a 3D object... well, barely looks like a 3D object. Also, fuzzier brush can make things seem glowing. If you have a scanner, draw on a piece of paper and scan it onto your computer, then draw over the sketch. Later, if you get good enough, you should move on to brush tool. It took me 2 years to get to this point, so here's the most important suggestion of all: Don't give up. There may be times you don't know what to draw or how to draw, but remember, if someone is better than you, you can be as good as them some day.

Both of your drawings look really good god dammit
Well, I have a few suggestions that aren't really great but can kinda help if you wanna improve. You have to practice A LOT. I've been drawing for a while now and probably wouldn't be able to draw somewhat decent things without practicing my art. Drawing tablets help, but only if you got enough money for one. Plus they take a while to get used to, heck i still dont even know what i'm doing ( though honestly i just got mine today so) You won't always be able to make a perfect drawing right away, so don't just give up. It takes time. Coloring isn't a must, so if you mess up on coloring you can always do just lines like i do.
Sorry my advice is pretty dumb. but basically, keep drawing! It'll help you get better. And yea that's all i have to say sorry if this advice wasnt helpful but oh well. time to get back to figuring out how to use this drawing tablet.

The first one wasn't mine, it's an actual picture of a Vanguard Tank.
Oh, and on my list of buying priorities, most things cost like $50 at the moment...so....
1. Elite: Dangerous $60 2. Joystick Varies, but probably more than $30 3. Civilization game or something $50 4. Pokemon O.R. like $50 cuz overpriced 3D nobody really cares about
Anyways, thanks for the advice, I'll keep at it. I blame Middle School, that's a time in my life I stopped sketching all the time and it ruined me. I realized color can help stitch it together though, and the Vanguard imitation isn't as bad from a distance.
