Author's Notes: This is a fanfiction inspired by PPR (obviously) and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I will try to write something as bizarre as Araki's masterpiece.
I create a separate thread for each parts of this series. Chapters of a part will be posted in their respectively parts, if someone somehow misread this and believe I'm going to create a thread for every Chapters...
The 1st Admin will be Pika.
Summary: Year 1985, the story follows Pika Dminitri, daughter of Coats Dminitri and Melanie Dminitri, heiress to Dminitri Company; an electronics company in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, United States, a senior at St. Harris High School. Years at her school have always been uneventful, until the son of an Italian financial company owner, Spono Coil, transfers to St. Harris. Immediately, Spono starts to be hostile to Pika, and now Pika finds herself 'coincidentally' getting attacked on the streets more than usual. Pika's wits make her suspect Spono and his background has something to do with recent events. And thus, begin Pika's journey which leads her to not only discover her family's less-than-savory political connections but also her power to create and manipulate diamonds...
Chapter 1 (A Matter of Start and End)
And her final year at St. Harris begins, at last. Pika hasn't been doing too well for the past few years, with dropping grades in various subjects, which earned quite a fair bit of disappointment with her parents, and Pika understands why. Dminitri Company is something her parents plan to keep going for legacy, and it's Pika's job to be competent enough to run the company in the end. Despise that pressure, Pika still feels the urge to act as a 'stereotypical teenager' does.
And at a bus stop, a friend of Pika sighed. "... the bus is coming soon. She's seriously going to be late... I even missed the 1st bus for her!" he stares at his watch. The friend is Dragon Slayer. While he's merely a sophomore, he formed friendship with the senior in their last year at a rather swift pace.
Suddenly, sweats run down the sophomore's pace, as a burly voice calls out to him. "Kid," that nickname. Whoever said that definitely means him. That voice had a threatening tone. In fear, the boy slowly turns around, but that doesn't make the voice's owner happy at all. "Faster! What the hell are you, an underdeveloped turtle?!"
"Y-Y-Yes?!"
"You little brat," says a young man. Dragon has a brief moment of surprise there. Although the young man is muscular, his complexion and face are as young as a typical high school student. And due to his uniform, Dragon thought.
This guy goes to the same school as I do.
"Where did that..." as Dragon was about to ask, the man angrily growls.
"Oi, I'm about to talk!" the elder student shouts, clenching his right fist. And in the next second, would a lightning-fast blow strikes the sophomore's face.
The sophomore slams into the floor at the next moment. The strike incurs horrified gasps and grunts from the waiting crowd, too. He's fast! the sophomore thought, slowly getting up from the floor. Dragon's hand reaches for his own, bloodied nose. I swear, my nose cracked just from that guy's punch... What should he do? Dragon is helpless on his own. If Pika was here, she would immediately destroy the burly student assaulting him. His eyes are getting teary. This is his 1st day for this school year! It was going to be a good day. He can't show up to class with a black eye and a bloodied nose.
"Is Pika Dminitri," Dragon gulps as he heard his friend's name, "... in Class 12-B at your school?"
Although Dragon wanted to lie, in case the man plans on hurting Pika after he finds out her class, he is too afraid of getting hurt any further. Although he feels like a terrible friend, he decides to tell the man. But before he could, a speeding limousine appears in sight. The engine from the limousine is audible, and in the next moment, the passenger in the limousine opens the speeding car's door.
The passenger is Pika. Pika Dminitri.
"Hey, driver. Don't come back to pick me up. I'll go by bus."
"Lady Pika!" the driver calls out to the senior. "Please don't do anything reckless!"
"Request denied, sorry..." the senior apologizes. "I have to help my friend!" Pika leaps from the limousine to her friend's aid without any hesitation, incuring even more shocks (and awes) from the helpless waiting crowd. The bully attacking Dragon smirks.
Dragon smiles even brighter that day as his 'guardian angel' shows up to his rescue. "Pika! You aren't late!" The senior doesn't greet her friend, instead dropping her handkerchief next to the boy.
The senior cracks her knuckles. "Hey," Pika narrows her eyes. "What makes you think it's a good idea to attack a student on his 1st year, fellow student?" her questioning tone is filled with hidden rage and anger. Nobody hurts her friends. No one.
"Pika Dminitri," the young man grimaces. "I hope you're in the same class as I am! And you better be afraid, because your last year at this school will be a living nightmare..." the student slowly reaches for his pocket. "... that might end now."
The young man's future rival massages her left cheek with her index finger. "If you're in Class 12-B, then yeah..." the female student takes slow steps toward the thug. "By the way," Pika reaches her left arm forward, pointing her index finger at the thug. "Who the hell are you?"
The thug replies with narrow eyes and a smirk. "We're both from the same class... I know the feeling of being a heiress, or in my case... heir!" the thug turns his back to his rival. "I am Spono Coil, son of Lucina Coil, owner of Lacuna Financial Agency in Rome, Italy! Pika Dminitri, I came here to defeat your business in the name of my family!"
"What..." Pika rolls her eyes and rubs the side of her head. "What does an Italian business have to do with an American company? My family company? Are you just looking to pick a fight...?"
"Ho," Spono points at Pika, doing the same gesture as Pika did earlier though with more intensity. "A true Italian man always know his family's background. But of course, since you're a filthy American, you can't be bothered to learn everything about your family, can you? No use telling you, then!"
Dragon grabs Pika's ankle. "P-Pika... you should run and not go to school! He's going to-"
The woman turns to the boy holding her ankle. "Dragon. Let go," she commands. "He hurt you, and he's racist to hammer in the point further he's a dick. I have to fight him." Although concerned for his friend, he follows her reckless decision. "After all, I fight dicks."
Just as soon as Spono was about to draw something from his pocket, sounds of a slowing car audibly echoes around. The bus has arrived, coincidentally breaking up the fight before it could escalates.
"Hmph," Spono relaxes his hand. "You're safe for now, Dminitri..." as he still has his back turned, the young man enters the bus. The crowd begins to separate, though the people got on with relative unease after the event earlier.
Pika turns to Dragon. "Geez, I'm sorry I didn't arrive earlier... you're very hurt, aren't you?"
"D-Don't worry," Dragon stutters in gratitude. "Your handkerchief is dirty now, sorry, but it got the blood off..."
Pika merrily smiles. "Good! Now you can go to class and hide that something like this happened... oh, but let's not go by the bus. I don't wanna go with that guy..." Cheerily, Pika lifts 2 fingers up. "So, let's walk!"
Dragon frowns. "But we'll be late..."
"No worries. I'm sure we can catch a taxi nearby instead. I've got the money," Pika drops her guard without a single care. "I doubt the fares will cost much, anyway."
The sophomore gets up from the floor. "I hope a taxi actually shows up, though."
"There are plenty here in this city. Come on."
