I think they should still get some sort of punishment, offending someone's beliefs is rude, and could be cyberbullying. Even if it was supposedly about an anime, they shouldnt have went around pretending to be religious figures. You cant go around calling yourself Bird Jesus, as its offending to Christians, or go around calling yourself some other God, as it would be offending to that religion.
