And no, "they" is not a gender neutral term. To use it you still have to change the subject of the pronoun to a plural so that it is correct, I'm fairly sure "he" is supposed to be used for uncertain, and that "man" can refer to humanity as a whole. "Fisherman" is not an offensive term. It's not discrimination, it's how the language was built. If it sucks so much, build your own.

No, I was saying that I don't just randomly bash new things(that's a behavior from when I was 7, I'm old enough to get a learners permit now, probably). I was actually clearly pointing out "they" isn't a gender neutral pronoun and the correct way to use it in a non-offensive manner, and how the people offended by the actual structure of the English language are clearly among the crowd that drink wheat-grass, smoke lots of weed, and think organic food is magic. You don't need to make up a new list of terms on a whim with no psychology experience, knowledge, or "sense", just to make some random teenage social media sensation. I made my OWN evaluation of some things, listened to some counter-arguments and chose my side. Most people don't do that these days. I'm not against people picking their beliefs, but when it is a mindless group movement with more psychology in the peer pressure than the philosophy, then I have a problem. I probably could've phrased this all much better, but I feel really ill right now and am going to sleep now.
